I just did some basic bolt ons on my Gt2 recently.. Fvd tune, exhaust, dvs, 5 bar, Bmc filter and I think I'm around 560 hp I'd say.. It's fast to me

If you're a good driver you can easily hit low 11's with these mods, there was a guy couple years ago that had a silver 03 Gt2 w/ early GIAC tune, exhaust, and Dvs and he ran a 10.8xx but i think he had some R compounds in the rear.
Why do you need a 5 bar without any upgraded turbos?

Recent quote from a different Porsche forum:

Kevin's tune, exhaust and good fuel made me run 11.39@130mph.
I was curious (sounded like phenomenal performance for the mentioned mods) so I looked it up - the slip and info is on dragtimes... maybe stock-turbo'd GT2's can trap up to 130 mph due to lighter weight and RWD stock?

Good luck launching any turbo Porsche with that amount of skill..

You can get 550HP if you're lucky out of K24s. Unless you're talking race gas and advanced timing...

Still vague though, good fuel = Chevron supreme with techron, or 104 octane race gas? Boost pressure set at what? Dyno #'s. Drag radials or street tires?

depends on track, tires, boost, fuel, open exhaust, driver, etc.. def not on pump gas...
and not hot Cali or AZ temps... sure do it at 60 degrees you have a better chance...
bottom line is: go do it and we will talk then... I was promised numbers left and right when I was buying into diff. turbos and tunes back in my virgin ear days... lol God did I make mistakes...

I think a custom tune would always outperform any off the shelf tuned car. Every car is different, even when brand new.

I mentioned the info is on dragtimes...

Anyway, it was race gas, and the poster doesn't mention it in his comment (he does on the dragtimes info listed) that it has an upgraded clutch and LWFW, which probably also makes a slight improvement. Regardless, it's stout - not representative of "average" performance, but apparently "doable" if the stars align just right.

I justed talked to Rhonda and they said it wouldn't hurt to get a porsche motorsports 5 bar.. when I sent my file to them they tuned it for it. It was great dealing with FVD they're a great company and great customer service!

On the other note 996tts are all over the board when it comes to 1/4 mile times lol... As extreme as that guys Gt2 run to a tuned gt2 running high 12s consistantly lol it all varies
