Just recently I've been thinking about the posibility of switching the colour of my instrument cluster lights to something other than orange

I've done a little searching, and i've found these

What do we all think?............

 

I like the 2nd pic, but would rather have the light's behind the gauges white instead of that reddish orange. Really like the odo/mph/clock displays though.

 

where did you find them ? the ebay ones says they only work with non turbo (not sure why)

 

Speedo doesn't go high enough.

 

I noticed the digital MPH read out on the tach. in the pics. Is this an option setting on the turbo or do we get only the boost option?

 

That is the layout from the early dash on the non turbo cars - pre 2001/2

 

I wish I could get MPH on the center display somehow. It would nice to have boost and speed together.

 

I'm pretty sure the pictures I posted are of Carreras and Boxsters - Check the maximum reading on the Speedos

Eitherway, My idea is to remove the Instrument Clusters and A/C and replace the orange bulbs with different coloured ones

I'm still not sure what colours to go for though

My car is black on black with white dials and a serious amount of carbon
What colour bulbs does everybody think I should try?

 

Super white/cyan or red should look good with white gauge faces.

 

Stick to the way Porsche intended them to be ... Orange. :-)
