I'll start a DIY thread for these. I'll offer the drawings to everyone for free or maybe you'll be able to buy the endtanks from me ready to go.

Ha, isn't that the truth! I got out of the business awhile ago for the same reasons.

Im always looking how the client will take on a project vs what I can make fit.... I can also put in whatever I want.. heck I thru a 6" in there as well on my car... In the end, most clients expect things to go in perfectly... and thats usually not that easy when your making custom parts for others...

I totaly agree that this is not something you would want to offer as a product for the general non DIY Porsche owner. It will take some work, but it'll be satisfying in the end. I have the money to buy whatever set of intercoolers i want, but i just feel they are more than i want to pay knowing what i can do myself; two 4.5" intercoolers for under $1K.

I want to offer the tanks as a starting point for the DIYer on this site. I'm planning to build a jig for each side so i can replicate them if someone wants some help puting a set together.

Agreed! That's why my intercoolers will still use the forced air ducting like the stock intercoolers did.

Under a grand is if you do the welding and fabrication yourself. I plan to provide the drawings and instruction for modifying the ducting and intercooler frame to everyone on this forum. I would assume $1500 or under to have someone put it together for you .

Here are some preliminary models from the engineer. I have 3D PDFs that show more detail. We should be cutting metal next week and have the first two sets made.

I'm not a fabricator myself so I'd have to have someone put it together for me...

Nice work on the CAD renderings byt the way
