IMO- best exhaust out there. I constantly have my eyes out for used ones.

I recently installed an europipe stage 2 loud. The first time I started the car I was sort of keeping my fingers crossed that it wasn't going to be too loud and that I'd be regretting it. Afterward it was like, "Where's the loud?" The loud is definitely not that loud at all. I actually wish it was a bit louder and I'm not looking to wake up the neighbors or draw attention to myself. The noise doesn't fill up the cabin as much as my 993 2S did with just the motor sound pkg and modded mufflers. Go to their videos and compare the sounds between the two and you'll see there isn't much difference. Don't get me wrong, I love this exhaust and have zero drone. Just think you'll be happier with a loud if you're looking for that sweet spot sound.

Unless you have big turbos (X50) then its recommended you go with a quiet.

I searched and considered the EP Loud also. In the end, I found that the EP was still basically the same weight as the stock exhaust. It was also considerably more expensive than other options out there. I narrowed it down to Markski's and Speedtech. Both sound incredible and are significantly less heavy than stock and the EP. In the end I chose Speedtech and I have really enjoyed it every day. Noticeable inprovement in throttle response and great sound. You can hear the turbos spool and it sings at WOT. Markski's is surely equal to the enjoyment. My only concern was that it looks so exotic, I was worried about the Smog inspection. Probably overly cautious on my part. Either way, the best two exhausts I found were those two. Heck for $400 or so more than the EP you could by both!

Hmm... when I communicated with Stef of Europipe he never indicated that. Also I just spent awhile on the phone yesterday talking with a tuner who said it was a great pipe for my car which is not a X50.

Not saying you're wrong. I will pointedly ask this question of my tuner tomorrow and get back to you with what he says.

Cheers!

You need to check with Kevin at UMW, if you core change your tips it is not that much more, plus if you lose the heat shields, you get a weight savings. From the advice I have been given, it's all in the cat diameter.

HP gains appear to be over-rated by most manufacturers even with dyno runs as "proof". To get real noticible HP gains get the exhaust and a tune.

I look forward to hearing your comments. I just installed mine today and I don't think the car is much louder than stock.

To me, it's a little louder. But much better sounding than stock. Great rumble. But I've had check engine lights coming on. Is this an easy fix?

Thanks.

You need to do a ECU tune to remove the CEL from the highflow cats. I can help you - www.vrtuned.com
