Yes, I just installed the same one last week.

The only gripe I have about it is that the bezel that goes around the radio with the "porsche" script doesn't have a way to securely fasten. You have to either hot glue it or build a backing plate for it. Other than that I'm happy with it and it looks factory.

While you are at it, order a upper storage bin from suncoast to replace the cassette/cd storage bin that is useless.

I used this kit as well almost a year ago. A someone else stated, the bezel is "pressure fit" around the radio. I ended up with the thing in my back seat when accelerating hard from a stop once or twice, and given the weight of it that is DANGEROUS. I emailed the guys at Euromotorsports and they mailed me some heavy duty doublestick tape and have not had an issue since. You can get the tape at your local home improvement or autoparts store for a few bucks, or ask Euromotorsports to include it with your order (they sent mine at no charge).

Also, if you have the Bose system be sure to specify as they will modify the wiring harness for you to keep it all plug and play.

Great kit, good guys to deal with, they were very helpful during my install. I share some of the same feelings re: the bezel, mine has never popped off, guess my car isn't making enough power If it does, I will use double sided tape, as Eurospeed suggested. For the money, they should just include it, not a big deal.

I saw that the new kit includes a plastic bezel, when I bought mine it was powder coated aluminum. I imagine it is the same quality, but the lighter mass may actaully help it to stay put better...

Not sure anyone else had the issue that the thin cupholder "casette" above the radio has to be removed to fit this w a double din?

No. You need to specify if you have the cupholders or not when you purchase it.

I got my kit from Euromotorspeed and have never had a problem with it. Mine is the old aluminium on and it is so tight, I would need a major collision for that thing to move.
Here is a pic...

$165 for a dash kit is just rediculous to me..I could be wrong but I would think making a kit for a 996 would be the same as any other car.
What about these?

Those are good, but you are missing the wiring adaptors. You could cut stuff, but it is really nice to have something that is mostly plug and play. I guess that's what the extra cash if for. There is no doubt that there is a really good mark-up there but no one else is making a full kit.

I used this to install a pioneer double din unit in my 996 recently.

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130ADTV...ADT-VA133.html

I believe it is a portion of the install kit that is offered by euromotorsopeed sold on ebay. It doesn't come with a bezel of any kind and you need to figure out how to add a bit of rear support to get the head unit to mount securely. I added a couple of .200" thick pieces to the bottom of the new head unit, so that the new HU rests on the factory rear support.
