Anyone know this car? Would you buy it?
Hi Sunir, I just PM'd you a link but realized that add didn't have many pics. Here's a link to a better add I have up: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/2562389695.html
ARD, I agree I saw the XSC and thought X50. But if this seller is honest the original spec sheet shows that X50 is on the car, although for some reason it's not on that bonnet tag.

You can take the VIN and a P dealer can give you the original order spec.. (not the service history, or other silliness that dealers can get weird about..)
If Porsche does not show X50 in the config, the car was not an X50. Period.
(Over the years you hear "oh, the dealer installed the X50", etc, etc... no, they didn't- and if they did put in the X50 parts it is just a modded 996TT and NOT a 996TTx50...)
A
PS Given that these cars are not 3,4,6 owners deep, an honest current owner may simply have the wrong info and not be lying....
Just called the dealership the car was sold at. He pulled it up and it was sold with X50. He said he has no idea how it doesn't show on the bonnet sticker but it was on the car. Hopefully ordering a PPI soon and may have the car after that if everything checks out.
an X50 will show that option code on the white sticker affixed to the bottom side of the front truck of the car, period. If it is not I would be very weary, no matter what a dealer says...heck I don't trust anything a dealer says anyway but to have them vouch a manufacturer option package which is explicitly indicated on certain areas of the car, that's not soemthing to go on IMO.
Well it's back to the drawing board. Guy emailed me tonight and said another salesman sold the car on MONDAY!!! I can't believe it, this guy took forever to respond to emails and get back to me and I really wanted the car. Guess my search is back on. I just thought that was a solid deal 2002 X50 car with 54K miles, wheels, Remus exhaust, and ECU tune for $45,500. I just can't believe he didn't give me a chance or let me know a deposit was needed to hold the car.
If anyone knows of a car with similar options and any interior color but gray I am interested.

That's a bummer HIX,too bad,but next time move faster.
did you enquire with them about the lapis blue car they had? it was on their lot, same time as the basalt you missed. it may still be there, similar pricing. unless i'm mistaken, they had two. not sure which on was x50 or both possibly, but fairly certain they had two. have you checked out their website inventory? it lists all the cars theyve got. sorry to hear you missed th black one. it looked good in spite of the *questionable* mods
That Lapis Blue is a TIP car I think. Basically just keeping an eye out for a black,, silver, or Red car with Savannah or Black interior and a few tastful mods for around $45K. Just really kicking myself about the Porsche. But I feel like this was the salesguys fault. I send an email asking about how to move to the next step and he responds that it's sold.
