Help - DV's and boost hoses installed, now spiking at 1.3-1.5 BAR - Safe?

Everything I've been told is that boost above 1.2 bar on 93 octane (all I have is a basic tune and catless europipe stage 2 loud; stock k16 turbos) is dangerous for the engine. I've had the car for 18 months always pull at 1.1 bar, regardless of gear, but ever since the split tube repaired, it's 1.2 in 1st/2nd gear and 1.3-1.4 spikes in 3rd/4th/5th gear pulls. In very cold temps, it was more consistently hitting 1.4 before tapering down to 1.2-1.1 and rarely even 1.5 bar spikes. This is too much boost for the engine, and Switzer says it should not be boosting above the briefest flashes of 1.2 bar, regardless of temperature or gear.

Still no ending, unfortunatley. I had a appt a few weeks ago with Switzer, then my friend who was supposed to drive me the 2.5 hours home had to cancel on me and I didn't make it, so I need to reschedule unfortunately. The overboost seems limited to 3/4/5 gear heavy on throttle, so it's not too hard to avoid that. I really do need to get this taken care of though, but this is my third car that I (now) don't drive very much and it keeps getting put off. I'm also traveling a lot this summer which is not helping. I'll be sure to update this thread when it is finally resolved and let you know what the original problem was. I'm sure Swizter will be able to fix it, hopefully for not too much more $$$.

mike if your available on june 9 im attending a bmw/mercedes show on ploaris called timmayfest. i trailer my amg to the show as we spend friday nite drag racing. sat is an all day car show at quaker stake and lube. if you want your welcome to use my car haul trailer and truck sat to run up to cleveland and back. then you wont need a co-pilot or drive the car.

mike if your available on june 9 im attending a bmw/mercedes show on ploaris called timmayfest. i trailer my amg to the show as we spend friday nite drag racing. sat is an all day car show at quaker stake and lube. if you want your welcome to use my car haul trailer and truck sat to run up to cleveland and back. then you wont need a co-pilot or drive the car.

if you change your mind ill be at the quaker steak and lube off polaris all day saturday . my truck and trailer will be sitting at the hilton across the street so its no trouble . just look for the green slk32 amg and ill be close by!
