Timing Chain Tensioner

How do you loosen the the timing chain? i have already pulled the tensioner cap and spring, but i would have to say it did almost nothing.

What are you trying to do? If you take the exhaust cam sprocket off you will have all the room in the world.

Well that crossed my mind but there a lot of tension on the chain still. I'm parting out the motor, so full disassembly. Block is bad, but most everything else is good.

yup.. take out the bolts on the exhaust and intake cams then walk both sprockets of the cams. the exhaust will come off first then you will have to pull the chain over the the teeth on the intake sprocket to get that one off.

I know where a pair of gt3 sand cast cases are. All those internals will fit in it.
