mfirst is infamous around these parts
As promised - an update:
1) Let it charge all weekend (was actually out of town, so lucky I didn't burn the garage down)
2) Tried starting - and nothing. Click click click. Lights on, radio, etc.
3) Tried jumping - and the engine "tried" but would not turn over
4) Bought on-line a new battery from AutoZone
(Gold, 3/8 year warranty, 730ccA - is that really 2x the Porsche OEM?)
(with promotions saved ~$50)
5) Took out old battery - boy was that heavy!
6) Placed new one - just as heavy!
7) Plugged in POS/NEG, tightened, attached gas hose, fixed bracket to hold in place.
8) Turned car on - started instantly! yippee......
9) Drove up to return old battery - $12 credit
10) Used credit to buy new wiper blades
11) Drove home - and left credit card at store......

total time from on-line purchase to getting home and realizing I left my credit card (including 2 trips to AutoZone) - 2 hours......

not bad for a sunday afternoon.

they were great - would highly recommend!

thank you guys for your input

-michael
