Remove Nav Drive, Leave Radio - does it work?

Anybody know if I remove the Nav disc drive and leave the radio alone if it works without issue? I want to use that space where the drive is!

Thanks!

No problemo

If you press the Nav button it says 'Initialising' but obviously won't work
Other than that everything else functions just as it should

I replaced mine with the cubby hole, but I've got some pretty cool ideas that I might get around to one day in the future

What you planning on?

Cool! Thanks for the info! I am planning on a cubby hole. I have a Greddy EBC, but it is fine hidden in the rear console. I don't mess with it much anyway...

Seems there isn't a good place to put my phone, so a cubby would be nice!

I did mine purely by chance

I wanted to get rid of my phone, so I was looking on eBay for the 'knee pad' but I managed to get the whole lower console from somebody doing the GT3 delete

I decided whilst doing the phone I'd have a go at the Sat Nav too

If I remember correctly there was a wire connected to the Sat Nav 'cage'
Make sure you unplug that before trying to pull the cage out otherwise it'll keep getting trapped

Other than that one little thing, it really is as easy as you think
