Manny,
Gald you have good memories of our events! We are sure going to have some F U N! Although, we may be minority, but not at a disadvantage, with our big front engine beasts!

Do you remember if Steve Corzonkoff, who was running a maroon C4, went a ride with you during the event?

Looking forward to seeing you and everyone at the first of many - B]DEVEK INVITATIONAL[/B]

Regards,
Marc[

hotel n stuff

Just curious if everybody is stayin at the same hotel....

Also, should we plan a group drive to the hotel??

I can't leave till 4ish, Although, everyone is saying if we leave at 4-7 there is going to be bad traffic, they all suggest we leave after 7PM, doing the math puts us down there pretty late, which is fine with me.....

Suggestions!!??

The super 8 at the buttonwillow hotel area is OK. besides you spend all the time at the track and the BBQ place there that has a sports bar in the back with HUGE $3 beers. Great place to meet and share war strories. We had a blast at the last DEVEK get together there in Oct. Its like 8 miles south of the Track and at the 58 exit to Bkersfield. Bakersdfield is a LONG 20 miles away and that will kill any commardarie after ward. At the hotel complex at the 58 exit (is that correct?) you can get home from the track shower and be having a beer in 30 minutes (if your wife is not there, if she is add another 30 minutes)

We will be happy to use our facility as a staging area for the ride down sourth. Might be a good time for qucik look over of your vehicle prior to the event by our techs ... maybe catch an issue before it becomes a problem.

We can also stage two groups ...an early group leaving before 4 pm and a late group, leaving around 7 ish.

Comments or thoughts? Maybe meet a bit earlier and have lunch/snacks?

Looking forward to a great event!

Hi Marc.

that sounds like a great idea. As well, it would be nice to get an update on who has signed up thus far and what cars are attending thus far.

I think once folks see what cars are coming, they will want to come with us as this will be an event not to miss.

With Devek there it will be an event you will NOT want to miss. I am looking for things to sell to make it. I may end up just hanging out.

Paul. What's this "hanging out" that you speak of??? I expect that you are out there driving your butt off now that you have that GT3... No more excuses for no track time

I booked a room at the Heritage Inn Best Western about a month ago. It is located at the Stockdale exit, 15 miles south of Lerdo Highway (the exit for the track) - 661-764-6268. You get a discount if you say you have AAA. This hotel is the one recomended in the HOD PDF file. Is the Super 8 or other alternative a better choice?
