996TT vs 360 modena
Went on a dealer today. Talking about replacing my 4s next year with a twin turbo when i saw a stunning 360 with just 14K klms. Price about 55.000 euros.
I know 996 is faster. And i know 360 can be much more expensive to maintain. Has anybody experienced both cars?

360 is the first Ferrari I 'really' fell in love with
My buddy says the 430 is far superior to the 360 he owned
Not sure how this compares to our cars though
I'd be interested to hear though, as I need to buy a FCar before I die (doesn't everybody?)

Ok, the 360 is inferior to 430 as 996 is to 997. 430 is 100K$ right know...
About performance, i know 997 is not very far but that is not the point on the 360. I just wonder if it feels better (sound, braking etc)
For serious performance there is a serious 3rd competitor, a 996FF with 600+ power and only 20k miles. Price is fine too, check out the pics

I test driven the 996TT and 360 within the same week and have a few thoughts. First off the steering of the 360 is not near as tight or responsive feeling as the 996TT. This was a huge turn off for me. The 996TT just feels solid. The 360 is fast, but do not expect a visceral experience. The sound track on the 360 is absolutely amazing. The one I drove had a Tubi exhaust on it so it was almost orgasmic. As far as handling goes, I did not have much a chance to toss the 360 around, but I would venture to guess the 360 has a better suspension setup compared to a stock 996TT. Overall I was underwhelmed with the 360, but that does not mean it is a bad sports car. It just wasn't what I wanted. I am an old school Ferrari fan so when I buy it is going to be a pre power steering car. They are very capable and great track cars if you havce the $ to track it.
The car I drove was an F1 and I would not suggest buying an F1 due the 12k f1 pumps that tend to fail after a while. The things to look for on the 360 are cracks on the in the front wheel wells. Also get the car on a lift and check under the car for scrapes and dings. Many of the cheaper to middle of the price range 360s have been tracked hard. Those are the ones to be careful with.

360 is still a amazing car and great looking as well, depends on what you looking for, grade "A" performance, plus reliability or sexy exotic with grade "A-"performance, both lovely cars, it just you may attract more people in your F car then in a P car....glw whatever you do, both fantastic cars.....
I was and still am considering a challenge stradale... The 360 looks great but the 275 lb-ft of torque really hurts for the cash outlay, the CS is tweaked a bit more but has the f1 gearbox where I do like the clinking of the gated shifter instead. The 430'only makes 24 or so more bhp, may not be worth the additional premium, they all sound incredible!!!! Especially with a capristo, tubi, or nuvolare exhaust... They are not the mind blowing performance you get in a Porsche, the gt2 would chew them up and spit them out. BUT they are fine automobiles, peices of design art, the sound like beautiful music and are just purely bellisima!!!!

Honestly, I might try the 360 out for a little while and then resell it. Ferrari's are Prima Donna's imo, not really useful for anything, high maintenance, and the 360 is not even really a performer, but might be fun to tool around in for a short time. Should not lose much value then you can sell it and get a real car.
been there done that. mine was with a 355 f1.... loved the car and the looks but my TT is far faster and nicer to drive.
to much maintenance and the maintenance is to expensive.
the service on the 360 is no where near as bad as the 355, but its still expensive compared to a P-car
if you have the itch, scratch it..... but u will be back

I'll put it this way I would get both but would not want to replace my gt2 w a 360 or 430 ... Would be nice to have something like a g or CS or Murci for the wow factor - thrill for them, then drive the gt2 for a thrill for me as it's a pure uninhibited beast of a drivers car!
The 360 sounds fantastic and looks great. If you will only drive it once in a while, the 360 would be fun but if you want a car you can drive all the time, the 996 TT is the way to go. I have a friend with a 360 and he has to bring it to the dealer for every little maintenance procedure. He spent close to $ 4k for an oil change earlier this year - Yikes!
