Happy 2012 guys!! Anyone know how to undo this pipe?
Thanks Todd! TurboTodd.....are u Protomotive Todd?? So pinching the two parts together releases it?? Is that right? And by the looks of it they are both 19mm?? I only have one 19mm wrench
I'll go borrow one. So I get 2 19mm wrenches, squeeze them together, then unscrew the connection??

On a separate note.........I GOT THE POWER STEERING RETURN PIPE OFF!! WOOHOOO and I got the end bit that was stuck in the tank out as well!!! THE SEAL IS FINE!!! NEW PIPE TO BE PICKED UP ON TUESDAY!!
Guys I received my new pipe today but the red clip seal thingy didnt come with it!! I need a new one....any1 know a part number or what its called so i can get some of ebay??
The seal in the tank is fine tho. Its not damaged. I just need the red thing
Unfortunately you need to buy the whole reservoir as Porsche does not sell just the red collar. I was in the same boat as my red collar was cracked. I was lucky as I ended up buying a used reservoir from a member here that had replaced his due to the valve TSB. His old reservoir was defective so I was able to buy it for $20 so that I could get the red collar off of it. If you have the GT2 conversion done already than you just need to buy the GT2 reservoir which is about $100 cheaper than the Turbo one. In the states the GT2 reservoir is about $500.
If your friend has a few you should ask were he's buying them from as I've seen guys have to spent big bucks as they broke there's as there is no option here to but just the rings.
Becareful with the stock gt2 hose as the angle to get it work is really extreme and I've seen them start to leak as you have to bend it really sharply and the trans moving under hard acceleration just increases the forces on the hard bend.
But congrats on getting the hose out!!
