Where are all of the 996 Turbo Owners???

I figured that caption would at least get you guys to look!!

Seriously though.....

I was driving the other day and noticed a few 996 turbos driving about. It got me thinking...

Of all of the 996 turbos owners out there, what percentage have visited 6speedonline and what percentage don't even have a clue what 6speedonline is!!???

I would have to think, the representation of 996 turbo owners here on this site is an extremely small minority percentage of all of the owners in the U.S., let alone worldwide.

Agree? Disagree?

Totally agree.

I've spoken to countless car nuts and had to explain there are sites like this.

There are still a large group of people that use magazines as there only source of info.

That's always been the case since the 1996... The NET has played second fiddle to print media (but that IS changing)....

I agree completely. I have seen quite a few TT's around Chicago and posted on the board if it was anyone here and I never get a yes. I assume either they think I'm a jerkoff or they are not on this board.

Agree

I have a few turbos in my area (Weston, Florida) and do not think they come to the board. How do I know? No Bumper Plugs, no clear side markers, non painted rear bumpers, not lowered. In other words they have not caught the disease thats spread on this board. Peace, Ritchie

Yup, I agree with Ken...

Also I see TT's without clear side markers... Big indication that they are not on any pcar boards...

I saw a guy in a SG turbo S cab Saturday. I was in my SUV.. told him about 6speed... He had no clue. Not sure if he visited or not...

From my part of the world, Bahrain, I guess I know of two other turbo owners that are 6speedonline members, although at least two GT3 owners are members here. Some of the rest lurk here without being members and just read the posts. The rest are either not intersted or they don't have an idea about forums such as this.

I have a bone stock '03 911TT and frequent this board - well lurk in the background.
I have considered mod'ing my TT, but decided I like it just as it is ;-)

That's great.. I was just talking about clear side markers.. Most dealers even offer to change them for you....

Stock TT's look great....

I agree Ken. The same with the na cars. I see and meet people with 911's on occasion and always bring up this site. Most people show little to no interest in becoming active. I have a few neighbors I have talked to about it, and although they are nice they are not into it enough to spend time on the board. I guess we are ......different, but I'd like to think elite.

I know it's hard to believe but, most turbo owners I know have other priorities than hanging out on car forums. Unlike us. Most could care less about clear sidemarkers.
