Front downforce, staying classy. (added new photos!)

I have always wanted a front splitter for 3 main reasons:

-More front turn in
-Not scrape my front bumper/ Not damage my front lip
-Looks !

I will be making some Turbo rear deck mounts for a RSR rear wing to go with this front puppy. In the mean time, to the anodizing shop it goes to get it done in black!

Did you custom made this yourself? I guess it doesn't hurt to have access to a machine shop. Ever think about going into business?

Let us know how it turns out after you install it and let us know more about the RSR rear wing.

Eugene, my friend who is very good with CAD helped me get it going, so yes we designed this our self's as we our with the RSR wing mounts for a turbo. We had to contract a cnc shop that we know to make these, I don't have a machine shop . I wish i did . Maybe we will produce some more depends on how it works on my track out going this Saturday, plus quantity/deposits cuz single piece is expensive. I will keep you in touch regarding the RSR rear wing/mounts. : ) I spoke to some pp at PNA who gave me their source for the wings, but no mount for a turbo so has to be made.

Looks great - how much does it weigh? my fear would be if you ran off the track you would then be driving a bulldozer

It weights a little under 8lbs with the hardware. I understand your concern, this was design for track use, and just like any part of the car you run a risk of damaging parts at the track. It is about keeping it safe and also enjoying yourself/car at the track. In my opinion .09 thickness that this is, does not lower the clearance much of the vehicle to make it more accessible to damage. A quick test fit to see what it will look around the car.

Please post pictures of your project here ! I'm interested to see it ! I was thinking of doing alumicore, but i wanted to go for a material that would be more durable at high speed and that you can anodize colors.

rhargy is infamous around these parts
It's going to look really slick when you're done !
Please keep us updated on how you like it on the track

My next change is to go to a Getty wing, and front splitter to get some balance in.

What are you using for anchor points ? Can't envision it from your punch outs and the car is off getting some suspension work done so I can't get under it to look.

F1, just mo... I think this will match better with the OEM lip because of the angle coming out.

That looks terrific! Are you planning to attach your upcoming RSR wing mounts to the stock turbo wing base/decklid then?

The punch outs are locations under the front facia that these will bolt onto. I have already tried it with a plywood piece I made first to get all the measurements.

I plan to attach the RSR wing to body of the car where the trunk hooks up to it. I have read stories when attached to the deck lid, it will rip off the deck lid because of significant's of down force/pressure it puts on it.

I decided to get the splitter done in gun metal. It should be ready today around 10am-11:30am I'm told. To bad I don't get off work till later. I will have it attached by tonight if all works out well. : ) So hopefully some pictures!
