75 mm intake setup recommendations
75 mm intake setup recommendations
I am toying with doing the 75mm throttle body and y pipe setup. Who has the best pricing on a setup like this?. I like the AP (Cayanne) throttle body/plenum setup and was thinking of pairing with a speedtech y pipe. Any other suggestions?
no go with IPD and speedtech
Not sure you gain much though without doing turbos.
Maybe look at the 68mm set up
I have a Vivid Racing Y pipe and 74mm IPD works well but I only bought it for use with future Turbo Mods gains are not huge without i dont think.

Mods are umw stage 2a turbos, billet diverters, 997.2 gt2rs intercoolers, LWFW, clutch, gt2 clutch mod, evoms intake kit, AP intake box, europipe stage 2 exhaust. the ipd plenum I am not a big fan of and I would still need to get the throttle body as well.
I have one of these never installed (went different direction if your interested? $ 500.00 + shipping

Just for curiosity, what size are those 2a turbos? With your setup, I guess the bigger TB and plenum will help. I have 75mm plenum, TB, and Y-pipe; I got them when SharkWerks parted out their "Great White". The plenum was custom made by Turbo Mike and the Y-pipe was one of a kind custom made too.

I have mixed feelings about mine also, after pressure testing, and having that thing leak from about every connection, I would prefer a welded part instead of the threaded connectors. The leaks were not very substantial, but they were present, and I did my best to address them short of removing the plenum from the car.
If I go to a larger TB, I may go with the Agency Power setup, however, it appears as if the AP setup does not retain all three of the stock Y pipe mounting points, which I prefer, but may be able to live without.
I believe there was some data showing an improvement in spool and power with K24/18g's, need to re-read those threads.

HI,I have been thinking about that mod.for awhile also.....Now,I am waiting for Todd from Protomotive to finish up on a modified stock Y-pipe to match up to the 74mm TB with a modified IPD plenum TimNYC gave me(I sent to get thermal coated) to do a dyno comparison with....As soon as I get all the parts in,I will be off to the dyno.....
Keep us posted ..
I assume you are going to dyno before the install also ?

Of course, back to back on the dyno,Thats the only right way.....Going to switch it out on the dyno...
HI,Just got my Modified stock Y-pipe, match up to the 74 mm TB, from Protomotive...It looks great...Have everything now,the thermal coated IPD plenum came in.....Now to call a dyno shop to let me do the back to back switch on there...Can not wait.....
Looking forward to the results.
I'd like to shift my torque curve around 400 RPMS to the left.
