Cosmetic mod-dyed leather stitching

Here is a second coat. I included a close-up so that exact effect is known. A previous poster mentioned the Camaro guys have it easier because their threads are white which is true IMO.
The second coat I tried a different technique, I painted a long section and gently wiped three times to remove paint. Previous times I wiped hard which removed too much on the threads.
I drove the car after one coat-no rub off on cloths (the only real place it could is the inner seat cushion which is behind folded leather).
Overall, a successful mod since the alternative would be big $ for new leatherwork/ threads.

Very nice indeed... I always liked the good old British cars with their beautiful contrasted seat colors, this is definitely adding some nice touch to the Teutonic Porsche interior... without that empty feeling in your wallet!!
Here is a pic with the new center console cover with ACTUAL red stitching. The second pic is of the knee pad cover with ACTUAL red stitching on the center console. These were purchased off eBay.

Wow, this is absolutely fantastic! I always wanted the stitching to be red in this car, and definately will be doing this
. Even if it wears slightly over time, it's easy enough to touch up
.
Thanks so much for trying this and sharing OP!

I will upload some pics of the dash this weekend.
I still need to complete rear seats and have used two pens so far. Three will do the whole car but four pens to be safe.
I'm going to try and find a fine point paint pen to further refine the technique.
I dont think wear will be a significant issue as there aren't many places where your body touches the stitching.
Thanks for props-I'd like to see someone do a yellow.
