Talking Went to the track today...picked up some PUDDING!

I hit the track today with a few buddies for a private rental. Paulie and JBStevens (AKA Mullet) were there to watch and offer support as well. LMR was running a super strong ZR1 and ran high 140's and mid 9's with it.

I wanted to get some decent numbers for my new car and dial in my boost settings as I prepare for TX2K12, the Texas Mile and the Texas Invitational (side-by-side 1/2 mile roll race event) . Today near Houston at Royal Purple Raceway, we had a steady 25MPH head wind. Temps were in the mid to low 60's. Last time at the track, my plugs were fouled so I was unable to get any decent runs. This time, I went back with a fresh set of plugs and a jugg of C16.

60-130's: At first I ran a few rolling 60-130's to allow me to dial in the Greddy EBC gradually each time. Started at a 5.8 and a few runs later ended up with a personal best 4.82s from 3rd to 4th gear. I'm thinking I need to go from second gear to see if I can better this.

100-150: Best 100-150 today was 4.41.

1/4 Mile passes: I ran a few 1/4 mile passes, and what a ***** this thing is to launch. The rev limiter in 1st smacks you in the face almost as soon as you let off the clutch. Once I figured that out, I was able to cut a 1.88 60' foot and a 10.61s @ 148.3. I ran a couple more times and ended up with a personal record of 148.9MPH trap. With out the wind today, I'm confident that 150 traps were a sure thing.

These runs were not at full boost so I know there are more tarks and horses in her.

Mike Bailey has all the DBN's.

PICS/VID: (thanks to Paulie for shooting video with a lackluster camera)

Had everything to do with the seat!

and if the wind was anything like it was in the city i'd guess it was stronger than 25mph. We had a transformer blow over from the wind today. RIDICULOUS.

Well done buddy. Glad to see you are finally getting used to the car. It'll only get better now.

That's awesome, I love all the carbon fiber accents.

What kind of HP did it take to get into the 10's? This may sound dumb but I'll ask anyway. Does turning off the PSM make that big of a difference?
I just bought my TT and noticed first gear is kind of useless. Glad it has a rev limiter.

All claims are verified! The 4.82s and the 4.41s runs are legal. The timeslips speak for themselves!

Big Congrats for BlackHorseturbo!! Runnin with the big dogs now!!

But I can still say I knew him when he was "tippy-todd" LOL!

That's a good question Ben. We really don't know what we will end up with as far as full boost. My best runs were run at 1.8 bar.

you don't want to find out the hard way lol!

I am guessing with your head's o-ringed plus the million dollar other components, going up to 2.0 bar should be good.

Wow this car is a killer. It's got a lot of e.t left on the table. With tires and a hard launch it may be able to grab 9s. What tires were you running? Congrats again!!

Thanks Justin. I dont know the exact Hp numbers with my straight pipes on. We are going to dyno soon but it's between 900-1000 on a DynoJet.

Now, my tiptronic hit 10's all day long at 600whp more or less.

Turning PSM off is an absolute must.

Yabba dabba doo, Todd did excellent today. All the ZR1's running today looked like so much drama going down the track (143-151 trap speed) but Todd's car looked like he was out for a Sunday drive NO loud noise & NO slidding all over the track.
Just smooth as can be.

Well Done Todd & thanks for lunch.
