AC fuse keeps blowing out

Hi everyone. Got a big issue. I just recently had my 996tt amp replace with two old school Fosgate. One for the mids and one for the subs. When I picked up my car, I noticed the AC was not working as wells as the fan. I checked the fuse box and track the diagram for the AC unit and it showed to check C7 for air conditioning. I found the 5A fused was out. I put a new one and immediately burn out withou even powering up the AC. I tried a 7.5A and it also burned out immediately. I tried a 30A and it powered up the AC but for fear of causing mores problem, I took it out and notify the shop manager that my AC isn't working the fuse keeps on burning out. It has been two days and they still haven't figure out what's going. They have checked all their writings and even unhooked the amps but still the AC won't work (fuse continues to burn out). Any ideas or suggestion anyone?

I had the same problem due to a ground short. They should be checking all of their wiring all the way back to ground and the battery.

I read somewhere if it's not grounded properly, it can blow a fuse but wasn't sure.

If they were behind the climate control god knows what they could have screwed up by tapping into the harnesses. I hate people who are lazy and tap into existing circuits VS running their own harnesses off direct battery power. Correcting someone's $%$%!@$% hack job rats nest-like wiring is one of the worst auto related fixes one can perform.

Best of luck. I'd say have them pull the AC clutch circuit right at the AC compressor and see if it's in that circuit, or if it's directly related to the climate control. Then again you may not want them back there either

They tap the power from the existing power supply of the oem amplifier. There is nothing going directly from the new amps to the battery.

Definitely sounds like a ground short.

Where did you ground your wires. Mine is next to the battery to its left side (passenger side, inner part of fender)
