I think that it is green loctite. I ended up getting one new part: the connector under the oil filter bracket. The filler looked like green "wicking" loctite.

In your case Jon, at the track, since the responsible people are asking for the tubes being pinned or welded, what is going to be the reaction if you tell them you have used a new kind of glue?
Jon
Can't say for sure, but for the event that I went to last week, I had to bring a statement from my tech saying that the connections had been welded, or that they had been pinned. The guys running that club (OVR-PCA) are aware that Porsche has supposedly addressed the problem in the newer cars, but they said that they didn't know for sure when they started using the updated parts. So for now, if you have a 996 GT3 or TT, you have to have it pinned or welded.

Just got my car back from having the coolant pipes pinned. Motor had to come out, and while it was out we replaced several of the hoses. Unfortunately, the brand new hose that connects the power steering pump to the oil filter bracket developed a pinhole leak after the assembly, so the motor had to come out again to replace that hose. Porsche replaced the hose at no charge, but no help on the labor.
Anyway, back in business and ready for the season!
