Anybody put significant miles on their TT every year???
Anybody put significant miles on their TT every year???
I hear that the car is bullet proof but the highest mileage I've seen on a 996TT is 28K. I'm interested in purchasing one but want to drive it a lot, any thoughts?

my good fiend puts 25-35k + miles on his per year easily. Drives it everyday all year round w/ snows in the winter in New England. and he drives very hard very often. He has had no problems beyond normal wear and tear. Its built better than the mojority of cars on the market, ne reason you can't rack up the miles if you don't care about the added depreciation. He certainly doesn't.

I hear very few people complaining about problems arising from actual driving. On the otherhand, my service rep tells me alot of TTs have problems due to being idle. My TT hasnt seen more than little less than 4 K a year so I guess it s a queen. But so far no problems at all. Overall Id say it's solid craftsmanship throughout.
To my defense, I say that I'd drive more if I had the time. Unfortunately, 80-90 hour weeks leaves little downtime.

25,000 miles in 2 years. Follow the maintenance schedule and it will be fine. You are looking at a set of tires every 12,000 miles or so, at least the rear tires that often.

I've got a little over 29,000 on my '01 turbo.
