God, this thing shifts. Zeroed on me on the motorway. I moved over, not being a dick, having immediately recognised the car in my rear view mirror.
However, as he passed me he got jammed behind a car. I pulled behind him and once road cleared we both nailed it. I out-accelerate Ferrari f430 and the Lambo Murci, but I could not hold a candle to Carrera GT. He surely pulled away and kept on pulling. I had no answer. My "puny" 530 crank bhp are no match for the all mighty. Awesome sound, awesome acceleration. He then slowed down and exited the motorway. As we were alongside to each other, I exchanged thumbs up with this man in his 60’s who was grinning from ear to ear. Of course he was! Ha ha ha. What an encounter.

My guess is because you started the race about around 70 mph where the GT had the power to weight ratio advantage. If you had been racing starting from a dead stop you would have likely sucked his doors off. My 996TT has a similar problem with Z06's that will stay with me on the freeway because they're light, however streetlight to streetlight is a different story.
wow, i'm very surprised at this result. i would have thought that a modded TT would have been at least even with this car. I would love to hear a CGT in WOT on the street....

You are typically faster than them from a dig because you are AWD and can hook much easier. It has nothing to do with your car being heavier.

Just when I was thinking about changing it. Now I don't know if I can
You have k24's right? Isn't your car an S?
I would not expect a CGT to pull on you too badly. They are not as light as advertised, and you should have way more torque. That's assuming it was stock though, which we don't know.

Weight is more of concern from a stop. From a roll, it has significantly less impact on acceleration. Z06s and CGTs are fast from a roll because they make a lot of power, have large power bands, and have good aero.
