Any of you have pix of painted/powdercoated oem Turbo wheels with polished lip? I like the look of the Techart Formula Black, and may get those for the street if I go with the Techart kit. However, I was just curious how the stock ones would look with similar treatment. Should be do-able for a few hundred bucks.

Thanks Dan996tt.

Just found Nick Heidfeld's GT2 with similar rims.

I guess Nick likes Porsches... I see 5 in his garage! J/K... it's most likely Porsche's delivery bay.

Looks good, Dario... especially silver with the red interior. One of my favorite combos. Any more pix?

From the picture, it looks close in color to my Lamborghini Titanium colored '01 Turbo. I'm considering either black or Lambo-Ti colored wheels with polished lip.

Techart said from 10 to 20 HP depends on the engine....... the power gain is thanks to the sport cats..

I change the exhaust first for the sound, second for the hp gain...the difference is not big, only more easy to take rpm...but now with a reprogrammed ECU..is all another story ,also the sound is more aggressive....I LOVE MY CAR!!!

We are a little of topic

Yes...after 1000km with this exhaust that i buy from the italian distributor of Techart i had the Check engine light on ...i take my car with lights on and i went to Techart in Germany..they changed my exhaust with a new one(becouse one cat doesn't go well),now i have 10.000km on my new exhaust and no check engine lights on

Now...2000km ago i had my ecu reprogrammed and no check engine lights problems...

I hope and think that all problem of C/EngineL now are gone...

For the costs,Techart Exhausts cost 3800 Euro....i don't know in dollar

not a TT wheel, but a TechArt painted seal w/ polished lip.
Just an idea what that looks like.

That looks sweet, Doug. Where did you have it done? Cost? Durability?

Did they paint the entire wheel, and then polish off the finish at the lip?

Post more pix if you've got some!

Stephen;
WheelTech in Santa Clara, CA did it for me, cost $145 each.
They strip the wheel, polish the rim and then paint.
I wound up with a pair of scuffed rears, so I had them redone. They also did a red w/ polished for me "for fun". I plan to use them as tables as soon as the glass tops show up tomorrow, but since I don't have space right now, George at Akkurat is going to store them for me. The red one is "fun", but the seal is spectacular.
I do have more photo's but they are in the office computer, so perhaps tomorrow am.
