Milltek exhaust noise vs power?
Milltek exhaust noise vs power?
I'm curious to know how much power i can get from upgrading my stock exhaust to a Milltek 200 cat?
I'm trying to achieve the biggest gain of power from the lowest gain of noise (db). So far I was pretty much waiting for a Europipe1 to show up in the classifeids, but I'd like to hear more about the Milltek.
Anyone with first hand info?

you really need 100 cell cats... and muffler type exhaust...
You want a quiet exhaust keep it stock... you want power then settle for some noise... simple..

HI,You need 100 cell cats....I have been there done that,went from 200 to 100s...
I really like my Milltek, came from having a Cargraphics before. It makes very good power....
But now I am thinking about an X-pipe design to get a more aggressive sound..

I don't want too much noise. Actually the less the better. If 200 cat are not enough, that means only the Europipe 1 or 2 Quiet will do. More power not much more noise.
Ah damn, they are so expensive...

From what I know from research,,I dont think a Euro Pipe is going to make more power then a 100 cell Milltek...
I don't mind noise when I step on the gas, but I don't want noise when cruising for 2hr at 70-75mph...
My Miltek made great power, very little drone, and kept stock tips. Just not enough sound for me. I'm on my 5th system and temporarily went back to stock - big power loss especially at the track. Are you flashed yet?

I have had the Miltek on my car since 2005 and it still sounds good. It has gotten louder over time but still not much drone. I'm very happy with it to date.
Make sure to listen to the exhaust on a car prior to buying it. It will save you $$$.
