Do you have any substantial documentation to back that? Everyone knows that the 01 turbo used the 02 and up Carerra chassis so maybe you mispoke?

there is much info to the contrary, although i can't point you to it. it's also mentioned in the wikiepedia "911" info page ( not that that is correct but..) i believe you may be mistaken. the chasiss was "stiffened" after the 01 build. whether that was the offical mk2 iteration or not, i'm not sure.

 

the 996 carerra mk2 chassis was stiffened according to porsche tech docs. i don't have them to show you. so although i may be wrong, i don't think i am.

The 01 Turbo used the 02 and up chassis. IT GOT THE CHASSIS EARLY. I'm unsubscribing.

 

I suggest you do a search in this forum under differences between 2001 & 2002 Turbo and you will realise that if you think there were some chassis changes you are smoking something, which the rest of us are not. The TT also got the new headlights before the rest of 2002 Carrara model change

 

Article 996 Turbo: Cheap speed - mentions a stiffer chassis starting in 2002. This is from memory, I remember reading it, and knew there was much debate as to whether or not this is fact. I can scan the article tonight, fairly certain this is where I read it it recently.
