Rim & tire combo

Which rim & tire combo shall I go for if I decide to go for a set of 19"?

8.5J ET53 front & 11J ET45 rear with 235/35/19 & 295/30/19 or 8.5J ET53 front & 12J ET51 rear with 235/35/19 & 305/30/19, 315/25/19 or 325/30/19

Appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks Joe

The 315/25/19 setup is ideal because it does not increase the diameter of the wheels significantly over the 18's, however they are out of production and are difficult to find.

The other options are taller. The 295 option might make your car oversteer a bit because you are increasing the width of the front and not the back. I would probably go with the 305 option, it might be the most balanced compared to stock specs.

As long as your overall diameter and revs per mile are within spec, you should be fine. Any taller than 26" I think and you might have an issue with rubbing.

Refer to this.

we should probably sticky that thread since it seems to be the one all the tire threads go back to.

The "J" refers to the shape of wheel lip or flange the tire bead seals up against. This goes back to when steel wheels had rolled mounting flanges.
