Wondering why Porsche and many other cars today are using double row sealed ball bearings? They are much more expensive and prone to failure compared to traditional tapered Timken rollers. You hardly ever hear of a tapered roller failing unless it's been sitting for years not being used. Sometimes it seems German engineers fail to see what everyone else does with great ease and success. They have their own way of doing things, some of which I don't think is as good. This comes from working on German cars and motorcycles I've owned since the '60s.

just curious? tracking mine all the time with sticky tires and spacers - I'm @ 38k and before every event Orbit thoroughly goes through the car checking everything, amazed how well everything is holding up considering
