All my speakers/audio suddenly stopped but m y head unit is working fine?

I have a stock Bose stereo system in my 03 and all my audio stoped working half way through a 5 hour road trip. The head unit is working fine, its showing me which songs are playing on the radio. Am fm and and I suspect CDs are not making any sound. Any ideas? Also can someone give me specific instructions on how to get to the stock Amp? I have no idea where it is. Is there a fuse that could blow that would leave my head unit running? Is there a fuse on or specifically for the amp? TIA

I do not know about the fuses but the amp should be just above the spare tire in the front

Normally the amp will have a fuse in with the rest of the fuses, very seldom do they run one on the amp itself in an OEM system. It sounds like you are on the right track, fuse, wiring to the amp or the amp itself. Ground, power and ACC turn on wire would be the first to check.

I believe someone also said in a previous post that there is s fuse on the back or side of the head unit that can cause the same problem.

There is a fuse on the back and I have had to replace one on a client's vehicle.

Had this happen today. I do not believe it is the fuse. There is a combination of having the radio on and pulling the key out which will have the head unit look like it is working but no sound.

try this link: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-no-sound.html

My sound restored after this. Sorta frustrating for such a supposedly advanced vehicle.

Should work fine. Good luck

I had that problem in the past but it was only in the winter months when the car was cold.
AFTER the dealer replaced the Amp then head unit and still did it..They replaced the fiber optic cable and it was fine after that..
