Shifting noise?

So I installed a 997 ssk in a few months ago and it's been great. I've noticed though that it clicks when you go into gear. It's not too loud, it's as if you're flicking a light switch quickly. The mechanic said there's nothing wrong with it. Any ideas?

Also, when I shift really fast from 1st to 2nd, I notice that in the back of the car I feel like a big pop or something. It's like I'm really feeling the gearbox work. Is this normal?

I had a light click and found the shifter cable was binding slightly. The stock shifter has a green plastic clip on the bottom that the 997 ssk does not although it has a a spot for this clip. I put the clip from the stock shifter on then ssk causing the cable to bind a little making a clicking sound. After removing it, the noise went away.
