Lowering on stock suspension?

Is this possible? Just want to do this temporarily until I get some new coilovers

Haven't used them, but have heard good things about H&R. Check with Dan at Vivid Racing (Sponsor on the right). He should be able to square you away.

I was thinking PSS9s, no point in getting the 10s in my opinion

I've had h+r lowering springs on two turbos now. They work well are super budget friendly and give just the right stance.

So you're running new springs but OEM shocks? Just to clarify, do you have the OE Sport Springs (can lower .25" to .75") or the Sport Springs (can lower 1.5" to 1.8")? The OE sports are grey and the sports are black

lol. mine are red. don't know about black/grey. they are definitely the "sport" springs ( i think they make 3 sets? competition, street and sport, iirc? )

but yes, stock mo30's about a 2 inch drop. perfect stance as others have said. you won't be sorry. personally i think coilovers are overkill ( or overspend? ) for anyone not tracking. i don't. i only "know" from how my car handles. i'd have gotten them ( coilovers ) by now if i thought my handling was suffering for not having them. i dunno. $350.00 vs $3000.00 give or take that was an easy decision to make.

add: you said "OE" sport springs? these are NOT OEM if that's what you meant. again, they are h&r. not familiar with "OE".

Good to know, and I'm on the H&R website right now. In order of increasing "performance" it goes OE Sport, Sport, Super Sport, and Race. The Race ones are the only springs that are red, so I guess you have them!

I had the RUF lowering spings installed but the car rode like I would expect an ironing board to feel like. Took them out and put in PSS 10's and ride improved and handling did not get degraded at all.

man, i would hope not! i hear ya on the ironing board reference though. i'm not kidding about the stiff ride. that is one caveat. when i first got into this car, only having had a stock setup before. i was shocked, no pun intended, at how harsh the ride was. now i hate the stock ride in comparison. it does take a minute to get used to the difference in ride. it's not for everyone, that's for sure.
