Dock - your point makes some sense to me, but I am not a leather expert.
In the end, I agree that the dash area seems to get very little wear (unlike doors, wheel, seats). An occasional dry wipe is likely all that it needs to keep it looking nice for many years.
But I do not see the 'specially treated' leather dash as so unique that you should not do anything.
Yes, you should take care to use safe products...but I have not seen cases where treated dashes have prematurely separated, etc...have you?
I do know that in past / other cars - cleaning something like a fabric headliner with normal carpet cleaner will separate the headliner from the backing foam/glue quite easily. So cases do happen - I just have not seen evidence that the Porsche leather dash is so sensitive that you have to omit any kind of treatment.
