I wanted headlights that didn't look like something custom. I wanted something that everyone would think came from Porsche that way.

I don't think you can ever get the perfect oval look of the 997 without it looking weird. I think it is a nice touch.

I like the way your eyes tend to focus on the lines and curves of the fender/hood, instead of the headlights.

 

they look great. its just you can barely tell. The glare of plastic/lexan still defines the shape of the light. Its prolly the black color. A SY or GR would prolly be best.

 

It looks WAY better in this angle.

I think the issue is the audi shaped trim lower lid trim.

It might help to take a look at the original chrome headlights again.

 

You what is really nice looking about this shot? The fact that the housings are accentuated now; you can see the oval rings... I think that really adds character to the light and makes it more sophisticated looking. I like this a lot.
