I came across this photo and thought I would share with the Porsche community. This is not my car/house, but it could have been any of ours.

I might not have power, but I have my family and we have our health. I am in a better place than a lot of others. Be safe.

 

I can't believe the devastation that has happened to the area where I used to live. You're right about being thankful for what we do have.

 

I hope that we all find time to think about and give to the charitable organizations across the east coast. It really helps you remember what's important in life (your loved ones).

My thoughts and prayers to all the east coasters affected by Sandy. As a group, I would think 6 speeders would be better prepared then the average person. I hope that is true. While I have dealt with earthquakes (1989 Loma Prieta) I cant imagine the power of the wind, water and everything else this storm brought. Earthquakes last at most, a minute or so. Loma was 15 seconds. This was days and hours. You have a great perspective and hellava attitude. Good luck to you.

oh but its ok. The local gov knows way more then us commoners.. they stop the fuel barges.... and let them go today.... ok just to make a point I will say 2000 cars went under water. I will say each car has 5q engine oil, 4q tranny fluid, 1.5q axle oil and 10 gallons gas. I would sa half of that load was lost into the sea.. now that want to make sure a barge does not hit anything! wait.. how about the home heating oil tanks that were washed out to sea??

 

Relax, the car in the opening photo will be on Ebay in no time. "like new, freshly rinsed, ready for new owner"....
