i know from memory that a stock ecu and a tuned ecu feel like the timings is being pulled down in high temps... i really only drive my car, here in Calif, hard because of the harder pulls i get when its colder sep- may early mornings... i have gt-2 coolers and k24, X 50 package with high quality mods. my car is much quicker in the cooler temps. much.... i wouldn't go by the bar gage, i'd go by the feel.... those stock bar's do not read precisely.

i guess you'd have to define what you mean by "this"(?) a flash will significantly effect boost numbers. also the rev limiter is usually(?) raised. mine is. so to come full circle on this, f you're seeing boost numbers levels consistently at 0.8 or 0.9. with a possible peak of 1.0 under PERFECTLY cool weather conditions ( and in the northern hemisphere ) i would safely say you have a "stock" gt2 and the numbers are within the normal range of what you can or might expect running stock k24's. but more expert participants here could tell you exactly why, while i could not. i will stop talking out of the side of my neck now.

i think that the ecu pulls back to save the engine... not sure, i could be wrong. however, i know by me MPH gage; in the heat i am lucky to see 75 mph in 2nd and 113 in 3rd. when its cold, i see 81 and 120 in the same gears at red line.. mine is set @ 7250, but i always shift @ 7k... this is my science measure E= hauling ***!!!!

i only know for certain, i see higher boost level(s) when driving hard under cooler ( than "normal for me" ) temps. eg, .1 in other words:. a peak on occasion of 1.3. max. any higher, i'm sure, would indicate an "issue".

If I would do it from scratch I'd leave the stock air box but put a good filter in there, diverter valves to prevent boost leak, 3" exhaust with 100C cats, 20G upgrade(18G for those of you with the K16s, 20G wheel won't work on the Turbos unless they have the X50 package or GT2s which I have), injectors, water\meth injection, and a tune. The water\meth should be a good substitute for an intercooler upgrade at a fraction of the cost of the intercoolers but if you can do both, even better I have been reading the 997.2 GT2RS intercoolers are a good option for intercoolers at a reasonable price; around $1k
I think that would be right at 600 at the wheels on pump quite a bit more on higher boost with race gas.
Next step will be the 4.0 motor build. Muahahahaha
