Who can refinish my front calipers!!!
I have been having a horrible time refinishing my front brake calipers. I have done a fair amount of paint work with success, but these calipers are eating my lunch. On my first attempt I used the Duplicolor brush on application and it looked like a turn rolled in hair. I completely striped it to metal and cleaned the **** out of it brake cleaner and it looks like brake fluid is still causing the finish to not adhere in places. I am ready to chuck there ****ers into a fire.

Anyways, I am sure there is somebody out there that can do these for a fee. I feel as though I am going backwards and am ready to pay somebody to do it.

Yeah, been pretty busy. Work has been pretty crazy as well as my personal life.
What kind of cleaner do you suggest?

I would use parts cleaner and follow up with acetone.I believe I will send mine out in the future ,as while they look good when Ive done them in the past they are never up to my standards lol.Good luck.

Well, I finally got the finish looking acceptable. Then the next night using one of the stick on porsche stencils I attempted to paint the white letters using white duplicolor engine ceramic paint. The paint cracked instantly where the white letters were. I am not sure if the paint is just not compatible or if I have to wait longer for the paint to cure better. It seemed fine, but the letters did not work out. This whole process is exhausting.
A buddy of mine does them for a living. Name is mike www.thepowdercoater.com. I bet he could do it and he has a really good system in place.
I have seen some great work on painted Calipers come out of Detailing Dynamics in Mineola, NY. They are a sponsor on here and I if you could send them up here, they wouild get it done right the 1st X. Call Eddie and tell him Jeff sent you. Theyhave done a ton of my work from detailing, Film, Custom Electronics and custom paint. I have seen calipers they have done and the final product is perfect.
