996 evoms 750 kit questions

hello to all!
Just bought a 2002 996 guards red with evoms 750hp kit includes stage 3/4 agency power bolt ons...upgraded fuel rail, evom headers, gt28 turbos and 70mm fabspeed exhaust. have records of ecu tune to vehicle ...no dyno records

My questions is the car only reaches 1bar when turbos kick in.. feels great although can anyone tell me is this it? called company that serviced vehicle they stated car should push 1.4-5 bar with no problem.. unfortunately I'm in new york they were in Arizona kinda hard to bring vehicle to them lol. Just brought vehicle in for service at a local shop in ny..there telling me to re-tune car but dont think a ecu tune is the problem

anyone have any clue where is start with diagnostic of possible problems with achieving maximum results from my vehicle....

thank you in advance

boost leaks.. as for the ecu find out what version of tune you have.. if they used the old giac tune that was a chip soldered into the ecu.. i dont think your car should see more than 1.2 bars.. 1.4 if u are running race gas

Should be getting 1.4 bar. What makes me suspicious is that you mention agency power bolt ons. That would not come from EVOMS. So if the agency power bolt ons were done after the evoms kit then who knows what is really going on. My car has a GT660 kit and I will see 1.4 but it will drop down to 1.2 or so during the hot summers here in Arizona.

well here's what I see... Evoms 750 kit includes only evoms parts... you mentioned AP . this leads me to believe that you bought a car with false information( HP statement and the kit that it has). Im guessing its an old k16 turbo with a gt28 compressor with a 7 year old tune or the car has been stripped and parts swapped... the 1 bar boost means something is not right... and Im guessing the turbos have been swapped as well to stock with stock WGs and only push 1 bar as they max out... a boost leak would not run 1 bar... the turbos would try to maintain the boost setpoint... or you would have CEL.
Ge that car to a Evoms dealer near you and have them go over the car... you may have bought a pile of you know what... that has been stripped, replaced, etc... these are the worse cars to figure out... been there done that...
not being demeaning just telling you the truth... if you were closer it would take me a whole 5 minutes to tell you everything about the car.. run a log and see what the tune is asking for... done deal..
good luck
markski

If you log the car your can see if the ecu is requesting more boost then you are seeing. Up your post count so you can pm and I can help you out. I believe I know the car.

911turborookie is infamous around these parts
Wow - Thanks for all the replies! Sorry was away for the holiday..Happy Thanksgiving!
For starters...the evoms kit was done my autohaus in arizona, I purchased the car from arizona and had it shipped to NY....I requested all the service history of the vehicle (Iautohaus.com). Once the car was delivered I didnt waste any time taking it to a local shop to have it looked over. They confirmed the stage IV evoms kit...garret gt28 turbos, fuel rail, headers etc. Don't have the exact agency power parts that were used but I indicated this because it was one of the items on the service history pages. Now after driving the vehicle i noticed it was only reaching 1bar and but it was still fast. After reading about evoms there kits and reading forums I realized there is more to this car... I called autohaus in arizona the gentleman insisted the car is a monster that it should hit 1.4-5 bar when stomping on the gas and it has upgraded Hitachi Mapping (whatever that is). He also stated it could have a turbo leak if its only reaching 1 bar. I brought this to the attention of my local shop he suggested I have it tuned and have dyno done to the car. I dont feel this is necessary if its alread tuned. So I posted this thread to see if I can figure out what to do??? Hence my Name 911TurboRookie.... I appreciate all the suggestions... Thank you in advance!

U dont need a tune but rather a diagnosis why it's only running 1 bar. Btw , that car should not e running 1.4 or 1.5 bar on pump gas either. That's too much boost in most cases no matter who tunes it. 1.2 solid should be enough.

Disconnect the battery for 20 minutes and give it another try.
