Brake pads

Any recomendations for replacement brake pads for a car that gets between 10 to 15 track days the rest street use. I would prefer a pad that does not squeak to much and not to much brake dust. Thanks for your comments.

Also please tell me where to get them as well.

You might consider Porterfield. I have had good luck with those. I have run the Padig yellows, but the minute they get dirty they scream! The Porterfields have been pretty good all the way around.

I do 10-15 track days a year as well. I have looked long and hard. Talked to alot of TT guys. There is NO good "compromise pad". I Swap out pads before and after the DE. It is so simple to do, it take longer to jack the car up and take off the wheels than to swap the pads. A decent track pad is not going to work for the street. I love Hawk Blue Racing Pads. Lots of squeek and dust, but what a grip. I find myself braking so much later into turns and with so much confidence, with no brake fade.
Mintex makes a great street pad (street only)

Red Box Mintex are OK pads for the street due to minimal dusting. But beware of using the Mintex on track!

Thanks Oak.

Yes, the Mintex Red Box pads are a street pad only. They are not designed for the track.

With normal street driving they will perform the same as stock. The only difference is much less brake dust.

I would also like to note that we do not have rear pads. Mintex has only released pads for the front.

Thanks!

Email me if you would like to place an order.
