Im on 16G, 5 bar + softronic tune

And side effect would be wrong consumption on gauge? Thanks

You will need a new tune if you add injectors...
So, the tuner would know that info more so...
I dont think it would be a good bang for the buck..

Adding bigger injectoers par say will not give you any more power. Even with a tune and you will need a tune to tell the dme that your running bigger injectors or it will run like $h1T.
The biggest reason you would change the injectors from standard to larger and keep the same power /boost levels is to reduce the injector duty cycle. If your tune is running close to 80/90% Injector duty cycle then theres not a lot left for the dme to use if it has to rich en up the mixture for any reason.
by reducing your duty cycle you can tune the car for the same power but have the injectors opening for less time. You could revert to a standard FPR as well.It would also mean if you wanted to get a bit more out the 16g's then you could. I would imagine though you would have all that a 16g could produce anyway.
If you wanted more you would have to use the UK 9E K1641 turbos which 9E along with other mods is now producing a 700bhp k16 car. The car they have done lately is just beyond belief. You will have to PM 996ttalot for the full info but apparently its severe for a K16 turbo.Dont hold me to this but

there are differences of opinion but I suggest you run injectors for safely... a 5 bar tune will run 94% inj. duty cycle and actually vs 74% in injectors... safety first.... plus a 5 bar doesn't have any fuel after 1.2 bar on on top after 6000 rpms...
just my opinion,
markski

Yes Safety is the reason to do it..
What type of exhaust do you run?

I had 16g's with 5 bar fpr. Moved to 60 lb injectors, greddy ebc and custom
tune. Night and day difference. BTW, if you don't have big ic's, you better
get some. Those little turbos are gonna produce a lot of heat with that
setup. Markski has 3.5 ic's that'll match anything that cost a grand more.

All good advice here. The best thing you should do is talk to your tuner though instead of just getting your info from a public board (even one with lots of very knowledgeable people.....

are you installing yourself or a shop doing it? i jst did the injectors in my garage and its a major undertaking with the engine in the car. it can be done but invest in band aids and a swear jar!
