It is a simple amplifier that amplifies the signal from the throttle pedal to the electronic throttle control. It has nothing whatsoever to do with eliminating throttle lag. It just makes the throttle more sensitive and as a result makes it feel more "lively". In a nutshell, you will reach 100% throttle at a lower % of throttle pedal movement depending on the program you choose. For example, you will reach 100% throttle at 60% throttle pedal movement with the last 40% of pedal movement unusable..
Hopefully the tuners here on the 6 can give their input.
Look harder. The sprint booster fits between the wiring loom and the throottle . I know because I have a 2001 turbo and I thought the very same thing Richard is thinking when I tried to fit my sprint booster. The turbo has both a cable and a wiring loom running to and from the throttle pedal.
