It is a simple amplifier that amplifies the signal from the throttle pedal to the electronic throttle control. It has nothing whatsoever to do with eliminating throttle lag. It just makes the throttle more sensitive and as a result makes it feel more "lively". In a nutshell, you will reach 100% throttle at a lower % of throttle pedal movement depending on the program you choose. For example, you will reach 100% throttle at 60% throttle pedal movement with the last 40% of pedal movement unusable..

meh, its besicly the same thing that e46 m3 had , when you had the sport button pressed on.

O*H S*H*I*T rushed to fit it this evening & I have a cable throttle on my May 2001 European TT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! I thought all TT's had an E throttle ???

would i have the same issue with my 2001 turbo? it doesn't have the glove box.

2001 has both fit the box it makes huge difference

Look harder. The sprint booster fits between the wiring loom and the throottle . I know because I have a 2001 turbo and I thought the very same thing Richard is thinking when I tried to fit my sprint booster. The turbo has both a cable and a wiring loom running to and from the throttle pedal.

I really will look again Tim but there is a steel Cable going in and no obvious electronic wires

Yes I know it has both mine has both remove the pedal you will see it, don't worry I thought the same thing when I bought my sprint booster

This makes me feel better I thought I was the only stupid one that couldn't find where to fit the sprint booster D)
