The Kumho Ecsta XS is advertised as a high performance street tire in GT2 sizes. I have no experience with them just another option.

Apologies in advance, but if you are running mismatched tires front/rear in a car with staggered setup and it feels fine - you don't know what "fine" is.

Even on slicks - with NO tread pattern, you don't run mismatch.

As far as PS vs PZ, I think it depends on what you do with the car. My experience is that Michelins wear faster but the limit of adhesion is higher. The Pirellis are a good DD tire and will handle most of what you throw at them.

Don't completely discount the less expensive brands either - Yokohama, TOYO, and Nitto all make acceptable shoes.

Actually price point for the tire size I am looking at ; again 315/30/18 the PZ were the most inexpensive of all (244/each) vs. the PS (445-524/ea)
the other mfg were between 330-480/each from various online dealers
