Steering wheel extendor?

Does anyone know if there is an adaptor or spacer that will allow the steering wheel to stretch out a few more inches? I am 6'2" and would like to bring out the wheel so I don't keep hitting my right knee. Tried the search feature but came up emtpy.

MikeG is infamous around these parts
You want it farther out than the stock adjuster extends it?
I've haven't seen any product, but haven't looked specifically.

Not on my late model '01. It only telescopes, and doesn't tilt, wish it were the other way.

If your steering wheel is moving up and down it is broken. The only adjustment is telescoping, not up and down - that position is fixed.

Just got mine from Carnewal a couple of weeks ago. Need to install it this or next weekend.

Yes, the price is $$$. I just could not deal with the awkwardness of the seat and steering wheel position anymore (5 years of ownership) being 6'3".

Cost is about $830.00 + import duty charge around $30.00.

If you do buy the extender, notify your CC company first. The purchase was blocked by mine, and needed to call to confirm the charge was legit.

I am with you, 5+ years of ownership but the last 3 were with the GT3 bucket seats which I think were lower and allowed clearance for my knee. Now that I am back to stock seats it is a pain in the rear. Just not sure it is worth $860 for me plus labor.

Let me know how it works for you please?

Tom

Replaced the seats last year with a Profi for me and the Speed for the passenger. The seat is lower and gave me more headroom with a helmet, but the steering wheel position still is not comfortable.

Will let you know how the extender works out once it is installed.

I am in the same boat as well. 6'4" and awkwardly long legs. I am interested to see how much of a difference this makes.
