OK guys,

New mount in hand. Porsche North Scottsdale kindly matched Suncoast's price and overnighted it in, $233.xx out the door. ZYPPY is up on jack stands and the mount is coming out tonight. I'll take some snaps of the process in case anyone is interested in a DIY as well as what a ruined mount looks like. Stay tuned.

Cheers
Mikey

This may offend some people, but I think he is the most knowledgeable Tip/ex-Tip person.
Ha, thanks Eugene! Ben, are you ready? I'll be up and running in a few days.

I have a similar issue where I can hear a clunk when I'm first on the gas and also when off the gas. I checked the transmission mount and found that it was cracked though after replacing it the noise remains. It seems to be coming from the transaxle and may be due to some slop in the gearing. I can reproduce the noise when the car is on the lift and I rotate the rear tires back and forth. Interested to see whether the new mount fixes your issues.

Trans mount is out and back in, less than 2hrs, and that was taking time out to snap lots of pics for the DIY. Take a look at the DIY thread. One final point on this part, it's the same part for both Tiptronic AND 6 speed tranny's, so unless I'm mistaken, I think the DIY will apply across the line.

Cheers
Mikey
