Any DIY on how to run audio cable to glovebox or rear center console

Thinking of storing my iphone in the glovebox or rear center console box. Currently have the cables poking thru the back of the center stack storage shelf.

Any DIY for how to run the cable from the headunit to either of these locations? Could not find any DIY help on a search.

Doing it through the rear of the center console is easy. Just search for the DIY for shifter replacement and it explains how to remove the console...better yet, I still have a .pdf from B&M and I will attach it. Good luck!

I have the cable come out the back of the console and routed it through the back of the glovebox. Completely invisible.

Any need to poke a hole in the back of the glovebox or is there enough gap (open or closed) to get a cable into the glovebox from the back of the headunit?
I kind of like the glovebox option better.
thanks

There is plenty of room with no hole to go in behind the glovebox. This is how I mounted my iPod in my previous NA 996 (2003). I agree, that is a better place to put it.

I redid my system and have my iPhone connected via a cable from the behind the headunit to the storage shelf just below. Will move the cable and iphone to the glovebox to clean it up. Then I can access my iPhone functions from the double DIN display.

So you have a new headunit then, correct?

FWIW, I looked into the PCM2.0 & the iPod thing after my post, turns out you can - about $550ish from Dension (gateway 500) to integrate an iPod into my 03's navigation headunit and can get bluetooth that way too.

Correct. Expensive gadgets but its great to have your own tunes. My local radio stations are terrible and I did not care for XM.

I just installed the Dension Gateway 500S into my PCM 2.0 996 porsche MOST system. Every works fine, but I get an error saying "CD Changer Unavailable" when i turn the car on. Has anyone else had this issue?
