Thumbs up New turbos just showed up

So after killing my passenger side turbo a few weeks ago, I put in an order. Well, the turbos just showed up. TIAL Alpha 3076 goodness.
Waiting on some more upgrades parts to show up from Protomotive, then on with the tuning. We will be holding back some due to stock rods, and maximize what we can with it. Eventually doing rods and some other upgrades, but limited for now. It won't be as impressive as many of the cars on here, but it should keep me smiling for awhile. Just thought I'd share!

Very nice, and thank you for sharing. If you are in need of assistance with custom forged aluminum pistons and performance connect rods to support your power goals, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thanks.

before you put them on do two important things... 1. check the wWG setting on both turbos and make sure they are where you want them... and 2. make the hotside housing backplate bolts are tight.... seen 2 sets now that backed out and one actually lost one back plate...
good luck

Thank you. Internally I believe. Im not too turbo savvy, but thats how it seems to me. N local AWD dyno around, so first thing up will be 60-130 numbers. my best on my previous turbos is 7.39 on 91 octane

I hadn't either, which is why i took a picture that way. They are bigger than I thought, but that gives me some good hope!

Thanks Markski. Planning on the good old Mighty-Vac pressure test to check WG springs. sound good? Im not sure where I want them at, just that they are equal. So I will converse with Todd to see what he suggests. I will also be sure to double check the... hotside backplate bolts? is that on the turbo, or where the turbo bolts to exhaust?

guess i should have added some backstory...

I had the TIAL GT2860 turbos used on the original EVOMS GT700 kit. Ball bearing and water cooled. it will be a bit of a change, but for the better i think.

Very similar boat OP, actually getting my 3076s dyno'd tomorrow. But leaving a bunch on the table to not destroy my stock rods, until the winter that is.

I am very much looking forward to them. I think I watched every video of your car online. I hope to be as competitive

Same thing here. The potential is great, but we will also leave quite a bit of breathing room until rods go in

Thanks! I will have to ditch my great sounding Milltek 2.5 inch catless for something new. Not sure what yet, but it has to be 3 inch at least
