Help! Unknown leaking fluid question

During a down shift (tiptronic) 85mph or so on the parkway car felt great but engine cab starting and pouring grey smoke- thought oh boy....Pulled over immediately - All over the back area of the car was a clear sticky fluid sprayed all over exterior of the rear and under the engine dripping after letting the car idle. Can't seam to figure out were the fluid is coming from or figure out what it is???? Had the car towed to prevent further damage- fluid has no color or smell-engine runs perfect no noises - thinking a gasket or hose maybe fitting ...but what is clear and does not smell??

Anyone ever have this problem or know what it could be??? Any help is greatly appreciated.

2002 996 turbo tiptronic

Probably blew a coolant hose or pipe. Sounds like same scenario that happened to mine.

Check your coolant - or did you get any lights on the dash?

No lights on dash- just clear fluids all over ... Literally blew fluids on everyone behind me as I was driving.... Just can't understand why it's clear fluid and no distinct smell.... Weird

Probably blew a coolant hose up front. Plenty of them to let go...that's the only way it could get in the car if you are moving...

So this is what was leaking... A coolant pipe

They wanted me to drop the engine to repair- fortunately this coolant pipe is the most accessible out of all- I'm having them reglue it... A lot cheaper than dropping engine.... It lasted 11 years from the manufacture so I won't have to worry about this particular one... I'd rather drop the engine when I absolutely need to for others that are not accessible...Anyone else experience this??? Ruined my cannonball run the day it happen.... LoL
