That was an optional factory leather covering -- my car has it. I'm out of town right now but will post a picture next week when I get back.

I also have a 986S with the horseshoe (and upper/lower console) painted exterior color (GT Silver Metallic) and that actually looks better, to my eye, than just covering it in black leather, like my 996TT.

What screen is this?

Hi TS,

Which 996 is this screen comes from?
I have a 02 996TT with damaged screen and looking at this, inspired me to replace with this "wide screen" one.

Anyone knows?

Thanks in advance for all inputs
Have a great day!
Josh

This is certainly on the 03. I have one I'd be willing to sell; if interested PM. I've been meaning to put it on ebay but haven't yet.

The idea is to class up the interior as much as possible.

Here is the current interior:

First round of parts (Don Le Dallas Custom Steering Wheel):

Raid Alcantara steering wheel and 996 GT3 Shift **** (Gert Carnewal):

Big thanks to:
Don @DallasCustomSteeringWheel
Gert @ Carnewal
Nello @ MaxSpeedMotorsports

Do you still own this car? I'm curious as to where ywhere the dash kit from? I want to center my headunit like that as well. Mine is lower and not centered.

A set of polished metal gauge rings spruce up the dash nicely.

Can recommended all the carbon, plus I like the silver pack along with it. GT2 silver clocks, alcantara wheel and gearknob, red seat belts and the 997 GT3 seats. Also got the silver rings around the dials, nice addition. To finish it I've been on the lookout for leather/silver side vents. I don't like the carbon ones there.

I really like the look of the 997 Sport seats in the 996 interior. When I had my 997 C2S I had them and they were great. Your pictures have me thinking I need to find a set for my 996TT now.

One of the best things I've done to it, worth every penny.
