Need new headers (996TT w K24s)... Suggestions?
SubscribeThanks for all the input guys, I was able to find a nice set of stock headers from another 6speeder in Vancouver, which worked out awesome.
As for how the stock manifold compares to the GMG's, here's my butt-dyno findings...
- Unquestionably the stock headers sound better. More "snarly" sounding on WOT, a nice deep gutteral roar as opposed to a turbine-like "whoosh" that the GMG's produced.
- Engagement and spool-up seem to be about the same, although I MAY give a slight edge to the GMG headers, although this is now based on distant memory (pre-leaking GMG's), and might be inaccurate.
- The GMG's unquestionably look nicer when it's on a hoist :-)
In case anyone was curious as to the comparison
Cheers and thanks again

My GMG headers also cracked and were unable to be welded! Evoms had a set of used fabspeed headers they put on my car!! They seem ok so far!!! Just inspected them a couple weeks ago and they are holding up!Originally Posted by 32krazy!
