Question Fabspeed Sport/Super Sport Exhaust

I'm thinking about getting either the Fabspeed sport (quiet) or super sport (loud) exhaust installed. Since the TT has X50 I'm told that it will bring me up to about 500 HP. Has anyone had experience with this exhaust...up/downs?

Thanks

I had the Fabspeed loud on my 996tt coupe. The only thing I would warn you about is it the system is loud and has resonance at 2k-2.5k rpms. I don't know what it would be like for a cab. I went to Cargraphic exhaust and it seemed to produce as much low end turbo spool as the fabspeed and it was a lot quieter.

As an owner of a Tiptronic 996TT, i would have to say that i felt the difference in power with the Super Sport Fabspeed Muffler. The downside is that the resonance is where you would be normaly cruising on highways and open roads. I would say you should stick with Fabspeed, except go with the Sport version. A friend has it on his car and the sound is very nice without the resonance whatsoever. BTW, there is minimal differences between them in matter of HP(3-4). Personally, i will be swaping for the Sport version. .

P.S. I own a 1994 3.6 S (Slant nose), which has Fabspeed straight pipes and never thought of them being too loud, since it has a distinct sound. So you could Imagine.

Hope this helps!

Which cargraphic did you go with? That's the exhaust I would like to go with.

i had the sport version on my cab.

lots of power! noticeable instantly.

the resonance was an issue for me at 2400 - 2800 rpms... the drone is deafening. on freeway cruise, i'd never use the 6th gear because that's the rpm... i'd always keeps the revs up at the lower gear.

i've since changed to techart exhaust which is still has a little bit of drone, but nothing like the fabspeed. definitlely feel the loss of power from the fabspeed though. no more wheel spin on the 2nd gear...
