New Guy

Hey guys,
On Saturday I picked up a new toy (DD)!
02 996TT

Im new to the Pcar world but have been tuning BMW's for 5 years or so.
The car Im replacing is a 08 135i currently making 416 hp / 488 tq.

The 996 is in great shape and was enthusiast owned at some point.
It has a mystery tune, Fabspeed exhaust w/ TechArt tips, Passport 9500ci, thats all Ive found so far...lol
It had a horrible set of headlight covers on it which was a real PITA to remove as they were fiberglass and adhered with two types of adhesive.

In the next few days Ill be putting in an order for the following parts:
Rotors (OEM)
Pads (Cool Carbon)
Slave cylinder w/ accumulator
Plugs
Coils
O2 (wideband)
Inner tie rods
End links
Forge diverters

Then do a complete fluid exchange: oil, trans/diff, coolant, and brakes.

Anything Im missing?

Here are a few photos.....

The most important thing you're missing is what tune the car is running.

It also appears to have an aftermarket wing, and definitely has the very common smoked side marker mod. I'd go through the car thoroughly and make sure you know exactly what was done to it. Also, where did you come up with that list of changes you want to make to the car?

Yes it has an aftermarket wing and the Hella side markers.
Not sure about the tune yet. I still haven't had a chance to really go through it.

The list is from the PPI, forum reading and general peace of mind....lol

If you plan on tracking the car, go with slotted rotors instead of the drilled OEM or equivalent.

Nice ride!!!

Several of my different drivers (I am in the auto parts business) go to the warehouse here in CA, and each one of them says that the amount of wheels Forgestar has is insane. I gave the "G" rated version of what they actually said

I bought it from an older gentleman and he didnt know much about the mods. The owner prior to him put them on.

So are you saying they may have them in stock and I can expect them sooner?

Just saying that Forgestar does a huge amount of business, that is why it takes them so long.

You would figure that they would have something in stock for the WB P cars

I guess the wheels are built to order, same as a couple of other wheel manufacturers I dealt with in the past.
