Hi i got a 996tt i need advice of what to start with with the mods i dnt want to upgrade my turbos now i need ideas of what to start with

 

Tune, open exhaust, reinforced dv, air filter and prepare for a new clutch soon

 

I got a bmc filter do i need an intake or bmc filter is enough ? And switzer exhaust on the way, thts the max i can do on stock turbos ?

Your car manual or tip? Max power tip can handle 550 to 570 as many tuners said and tried

So try to find a good tune in Kuwait u have 2 companies Softronic and Protomotive

I tuned my tip 996 with softronic and i like the performance


You have many ways to go it depends on cash i guess

New turbos new intercoolers upgrading transmission if its tip and new clutch if its 6speed silicone hoses DV's there is many things

 

Its a manual im not looking to upgrade my turbos now i wanna so watever i can do before upgrading the turbos etc

 

Ok then go with Forge DV, Exhaust, tune, ported headers, bmc airfilter , short shifter and silicone hoses

Thats all maybe some ppl here have better experience and other method wayd

Silicone hoses are only for looks right ? I see u have ams waste gate on stock turbos or u have upgraded turbos ?

 

Silicone hoses not for looks,, OEM hoses used to leak so we replaced them with aftermarket once btw my silicone hoses will be fixed on the car at the weekend


Most of ppl saying that u dont have to upgrade wastegates with k16 u wont feel big diffrence, but i upgraded them i dont have a reason but i noticed a better performance after that mod

i think ill do these mods "bmc filer, dv's, silicone hoses, waste gate and a 5bar fpr and a softronic tune

 

Does any one knw if i need a maf less y pipe ? Theres a 3" y pipe for sale do i need tht or no use

 

And a question can i put a boost controller.

 

Boost controller is a no-no unless your tuner requests it.

 

Why don't you snag my quickspool K24's with upgraded wastegates for a bit more.

Turbos have to come off for the wastegates anyway, you can sell your good K16's for $400-600.

I run the Giac reflash on mine, dyno numbers posted in the thread.
